About Northwest Center
Since 1965, Northwest Center has been a leader in promoting the rights and independence of infants, children, students, and adults with disabilities. Through ground breaking programs and services, we have helped transform lives and influence change across the nation. Our services for children provide early intervention, inclusive early learning, and after school programs. Our employment services include transition services, vocational training, job placement, and supported employment.
The parents who started Northwest Center refused to accept the prevailing notion that their children with disabilities couldn’t be taught. They banded together and fought relentlessly until the State of Washington recognized that all children—regardless of their ability—have an equal right to education.
Donations of cars, trucks, and motorcycles, are a significant source of revenue for our programs and services that serve children and adults with disabilities.

Every step of the way: Northwest Center serves people of all abilities in a multitude of ways. Northwest Center Kids manages our services and programs for children while Northwest Center Employment Services provides services to high school students and adults.
